The North American Levinas Society is pleased to convene our eighth annual meeting July 28 - July 31, 2013, at Duquesne University. This year’s conference theme is “Emmanuel Levinas & Interreligious Dialogue.”
Our 2013 conference program includes important Society traditions such as our provocative plenary presentations, a pedagogy session, a Society banquet, a film screening, and our annual Talmudic Reading from Georges Hansel—which is titled this year “From Religion to Dialogue.”
Our plenary speakers this year include James Marsh (Fordham University) and Leah Kalmanson (Drake University). This year’s Raissa and Emmanuel Levinas Lecture, sponsored annually by Société International de Recherche Emanuel Levinas (SIREL), is Roger Burggraeve.
